Here’s your 411 on the 30 Hour Famine:
Friday, Oct. 7 – 6 p.m. Check-in youth center (your fast will start on your own at noon on Friday)
Saturday, Oct. 8 – 5:30 p.m. Communion and Break the fast (6 p.m. depart for home)
In between? Games, videos, discussion, worship, a trip to local neighborhoods for a canned food drive, and the secret “Fam Cam”!
We’re doing the 30 Hour Famine, going without food so hungry kids can eat. This isn’t just another good cause—it’s about loving God and saving kids’ lives. Youth will set a fundraising goal, get sponsors, and collect donations—then cap it off by experiencing hunger and having a blast for 30 hours with friends.
Every $30 we raise can help feed and care for a child for a month. To come up with your personal fundraising goal, ask yourself: “How many kids do I want to help for a month?” Multiply that number by 30. Easy! (I will even loan you a calculator if you need one.)
Permission slips, info and fundraising envelopes are available at iLearn and iConnect this Sunday. Be sure to get yours – you don’t want to miss this!
